Senior Taliban Commander Killed In NATO Airstrike  

NATO airstrikeMEP: At least 12 Taliban insurgents including a prominent leader of the group were killed in NATO-led airstrikes in Char Dara district of Kunduz province.

Mahfozullah Akbari, spokesman for Kunduz police chief said the operation was launched Monday night in Khar Karhaye village.

The foreign air operation left a senior Taliban commander and 12 other colleagues dead, Akbari added.

According to Akbari, the rebels caught by airstrikes after they were trying to escape the area by using the mask.

The Taliban insurgents have not commented on the report so far.
