Security Forces Fend Off Taliban Attack on Kabul
KABUL (MEP) – Security forces managed to fend off an armed Taliban attack on Shakrdara district of capital Kabul.
According to 111 Corps newsletter, armed Taliban attacked a checkpoint in Shakrdara district Sunday night.
“The attack targeted a checkpoint of 111 corps near the Pule-Sufyan in the Shakar Dara district, which was fend off by security and defense forces.”
A Taliban fighter was killed and another was arrested, and two rockets were also seized by security forces, the source said.
“Security forces were not harmed in the clash,” the newsletter clarified.
The armed Taliban has not commented so far.
