Security Forces Arrest Top Rebels’ Commander In Kandahar
KABUL: (MEP) In the latest nightly military operations of the Afghan National Army (ANA) commandos, a senior Taliban leader was arrested along with a colleague in Kandahar province.
The operation was conducted last night in Khakriz district of the province, a statement by Defense Ministry said on Monday.
According to the statement, Mullah Khalifa, the Taliban leader who was the main target of the operation has been detained.
Meanwhile, Ministry of National Defense announced from continuing operations in various provinces of the country.
This comes as the security forces and Taliban spring operations are underway in several provinces.
