Putin Slams Kabul Blasts, Offers Help Against Terrorists

Kabul blastMEP: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday denounced the Takfiri Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) attacks in capital Kabul and expressed his sympathy and support to the families of those killed and wished the soonest recovery to those injured in the incident.

A statement by the Kremlin said that Mr Putin is ready to fight terrorists in Afghanistan. He made the remarks in a message of condolence sent to his Afghan counterpart Mohammad Ashraf Ghani.

“The head of Russian state has vehemently condemned this cynical crime against civilians and confirmed readiness for the continuation of the most intense cooperation with Afghan authorities and people to battle every manifestation of terrorism,” the Kremlin added.

At least 80 people were killed and more than 230 others wounded after twin suicide bombers detonated their explosives among demonstrators in Deh Mazang area on Saturday afternoon.

The demonstrators had gathered to protest against government’s planned routing of the 500kV power line project.
