Rocket Attack Leaves 17 Dead, 60 Injured In Syria’s Daraa

KABUL: (MEP) At least 17 people have lost their lives whereas 60 others sustained injuries in rocket attacks by militants on residential neighborhoods in the southern Syrian city of Dara’a, local doctors said.

“Most of the wounded were women and children, and that most of them are in critical conditions, head of Health Directorate in Dara’a Abdul Wadood al-Homsi said Thursday.

Wednesday’s rocket attacks came after one person was killed in the City in the same neighborhood and a further 20 were injured, including three children following more rocket attacks earlier in the day.

A number of houses and buildings also damaged in the foreign-backed militants attacks, according to Syria’s official SANA news agency.

Meanwhile, three civilians were injured in a rocket attack hit a high school by Jaysh al-Islam militants on Harasta, a suburban city northeast of Damascus.

The last attacks on Daraa City took place in August, while at present the Syrian Army controls around 80 percent of the city.
