President Ghani Returns To Kabul After Visiting Tajikistan, England

president GhaniMEP: President Ashraf Ghani has returned Kabul today after his two visits to Tajikistan and the Great Britain, a statement by his office (ARG) said.

Ghani met and held talks with senior officials of Tajikistan and the United Kingdom during his visits and attended the “World Summit on Anti-Corruption.”

According to the statement, the president during his visit to Tajikistan, stressed on strengthening relations and a serious fight against terrorism in the country.  

During his visit to England to attend the World Summit on Anti-Corruption, on the second day of his stay he met with the country’s defense minister Michael Fallon.

Both sides discussed the security and stability of Afghanistan and the region, as well as military cooperation, especially regarding security and defense capacity of the Afghan forces and increase combat capabilities for these forces.

Meanwhile, the President urged the Fallon to cooperate for attracting more Afghan students at the Military Academy Sandhurst of Great Britain.
