10945055_757544530988458_702911301595730525_nKABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan president Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has left for Russia to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) summits Thursday morning.

Presidential spokesman says that President Ghani is due to discuss about the development of regional cooperation for peace and security including economic growth and peace and stability in Afghanistan and in the region.

According to source, Salah al-Din Rabbani, Foreign Minister, Mohammad Hanif Atmar, National Security adviser and Shaker Kargar, president adviser were accompanied the president during his visit.

The SCO summit which has six member countries, People’s Republic of China, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyz Republic will also be attended by Pakistani PM Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and Indian PM Narendra Modi.
