Premature Blast Leave 12 ISIS Members Killed In Nangarhar

KABUL: (MEP) A premature explosion has left at least twelve members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist group killed and some 21 others wounded in eastern Nangarhar province, Defense Ministry said Monday.

The incident occurred after the militants were trying to shift an explosive device from Achin district to Shedil Bazar area of the same district when the explosives went off prematurely, according to the Ministry.

Nearly 300 loyalists of the terror group have been killed or wounded so far during the counter-terrorisim operations conducted by security forces earlier this month.

Around 1,000 to 3,000 ISIS fighters are stationed in eastern province of Afghanistan as estimated by coalition officials.
