Perpetrators Of Attack On Kandahar Governor Guesthouse Detained
MEP: Local officials in Kandahar province say that some of the perpetrators of the attack on the Kandahar provincial governor’s house were arrested and their investigation is underway.
Samim Khpalwak, spokesman for the governor of Kandahar told the Middle East Press, the people arrested in recent days and the result of their investigation will take time.
He said that research of the people is ongoing in earnest.
Kandahar governor’s spokesman did not specify the identity and number of those arrested, but said that after investigation, the result will be placed in the media and the public.
It is worth mentioning that on 11 January, as a result of a bomb attack on a guesthouse of governor of Kandahar, 12 people, including the deputy governor of Kandahar, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates and 5 diplomats of the country had been killed and some, including the governor of Kandahar were wounded.
Homayoun Azizi, governor of Kandahar after medical examinations returned to Kabul from France, said the armed Taliban have planned the attack, although the Taliban have denied involvement in the attack.
