Peace Agreement With Hezb-i-Islamic To Pursue More Utterly

MEP: National Security Council in the absence of General Dostum, has decided that a peace agreement with the Hezb-i-Islamic party will be followed up more seriously and implemented as soon as possible.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Security Council last night, a statement by ARG said released on Wednesday.

The Council instructed the departments responsible for the implementation and enforcement of a peace agreement with the party to focus on the issue more seriously.

The departments were also instructed to increase their efforts to implement the provisions of this Agreement and in particular on the release of prisoners, ceasefire and creating areas of peace, the statement added.

Meanwhile, the council also emphasized on implementation winter programs of security forces.

The peace agreement between the government of Afghanistan and the Hezb-i-Islamic Party led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, was signed five months ago.

National Security Council meeting was held after General Dostum, vice president attended his office after three months and perhaps coincide with the meeting are holding a press conference about the recent events in relation to himself.
