Pakistani Security Forces Arrest Afghan Intelligence Officer Over Illegal Entry

587380KABUL: (MEP) Pakistani Interior Ministry detained an Afghan security and intelligence officer from the border of the country.

According to Pakistani sources, the officer was arrested on Friday in Chaman area (Common border with Afghanistan) after he was attempting to enter the country illegally.

Meanwhile, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Pakistan’s interior minister hailed his country’s security forces’ “on time operation” on the arrest of the Afghan officer.

Pakistani media said the Afghan intelligence officer is under further investigation in the Pakistani intelligence and security agencies.

This comes as the Afghan government recently changed its policy toward Pakistan and has firmly undermined Pakistan’s behavior toward peace in Afghanistan.

Borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan, particularly in the area of Chaman is one of the most movement borders on a daily basis where a large number of citizens of both countries pass from it freely.
