Interior Ministry talksMEP: Minister of Interior has commanded to all police officials in Kabul city to exert much effort in securing the capital and prevent crimes.

Taj Mohammad Jahid, Minister of Internal Affairs held a meeting on Sunday evening with a number of security officers, the commander of 101 zone, district police commanders and managers on fight against crimes.

Jahid has ordered Kabul police officials to use all means in order to secure the capital by increasing security, enhance the coordination between the forces, prevent crimes, arrest offenders and take effective and timely actions in this regard, a statement by the Ministry said.

Interior Minister addressed the Kabul Police officials and said that incidents of organized crime such as kidnapping, robbery and other crimes in the capital are not acceptable for the citizens and the police is required to prevent these events.

“Any delay and negligence by personnel of Kabul police headquarters on carrying their security duties are not tolerable and the principle of reward and punishment will be seriously considered” the Interior Ministry noted.

The development comes as recently the Minister of Interior had warned to all spheres of security officers in Kabul that in case of any criminal offense in the area of the task, would be removed and placed over the prosecution.

The command has been executed in two trials in the eleventh police district.
