New Commitment To Support Women: CEO

KABUL: (MEP) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah once again on the government’s commitment to support women emphasized in different areas.

Abdullah, Saturday evening met with a number of Afghan women and promised them that the government will spare no effort to support women.

During the meeting, women also mentioned the major problems in the country, saying that violence against women still exist in the country as well as growing unemployment and poverty and the difficulties they added.

According to them, the government should facilitate the interest of women in the institutions of government and for the presence and activity of women in the political, social and cultural serious efforts should be taken.

Meanwhile, Abdullah praised the efforts of women in various fields and stated that the national unity government has already committed to the protection of women and stressed once again the support and will spare no effort in this regard.

Chief Executive Officer also highlighted the efforts for the elimination of Violence against Women with the support and cooperation of the people, this challenge will be resolved.

This comes as violence against women in recent years soared in the country and has followed the reaction of women’s rights organizations.
