NDS Arrests Three Haqqani Militants, Thwarts Suicide Attack In Kabul
KABUL: (MEP) The National Directorate of Security (NDS) have arrested three militants affiliated with the Haqqani Network Group in capital Kabul on Saturday evening.
The group had reportedly planned to carry out deadly suicide attacks near Sara-e-Shahzada area tomorrow which is the first day of Nawroz (Persian calendar of New Year).
According to NDS statement, the militants have been identified as:
1. Mohammad Nazir son of Haji Zazai
2. Sultan son of Mohammad Hassan
3. Mujibullah son of Jawid
The Afghan security forces also confiscated a number of pistols and suicide vests of the detained militants.
