National Police Kill Top Commanders Of Taliban In Maidan-Wardak

Taliban commandersKABUL: (MEP) The National police conducted two military operations in Maidan Wardak province in which two senior commanders of Taliban insurgents were slain including a bodyguard of the group.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the operation was launched Saturday night in Deh Muslim and Shah Kabuli villages of Narkh district.

One of the Taliban’s deceased commander known as Baryalai along with his bodyguard were killed in Deh Muslim village who were busy in various terrorists activities, particularly in destruction of telecommunication antennas, the Ministry said.

The second Taliban commander known as Abdul Wahid was killed in Shah Kabuli operation, the Ministry noted.

Afghan National Police forces had no casualties during the operations.
