29 Dead, 45 Injured In Kabul Suicide Attack
MEP: Elementary Statistics of a powerful suicide attack on the Arbaeen mourners of Imam Hussain (AS) in the sixth police district of Kabul, is more than 20 people were killed and more than 15 others wounded.
The blast occurred at around 12:40 pm in Baaqer-ul-olom mosque when a large number of Shia Muslims had gathered to mourn for the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS).
The death toll could rise as the blast was extremely powerful, according to eyewitnesses.
Mohammad Ismail Kawoosi, spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health, said in an interview with the Middle East Press, so far 15 injured have been transferred to Emergency hospitals in Kabul.
The blast comes as two civilians were injured in a magnetic bomb explosion targeted a vehicle in Bagrami district of Kabul this morning.
