Massive Explosion Hits Ghazni; 15 Security Forces Killed, Wounded

KABUL (MEP) – 3 security forces were killed and 12 others wounded as Ab-Band Districts of Ghazni province was hit by a car bomb.

The incident took place around 4:30 a.m. today Saturday, July 27, after a car bomb went off in Ab-band Security base in Ghazni, Middle East Press reports.

A newsletter by Media Office of Ghazni Province announces that three security forces were killed and 12 were wounded in the incident.

District and Police Headquarter buildings were demolished after the explosion, the newsletter added.

Some sources have said that the attack was carried out using a Humvee vehicle.

The armed Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident and said that a number of security forces were killed and injured.

Suicide and explosive attacks have increased in recent days, and everyday Afghan provinces, especially Kabul, witness a suicide bombing.
