Kenya Attacked By Al-Shabaab
MEP: Islamist militant al-Shabab fighters have launched an attack on a Kenyan military base in southern Kulbiyow.
According to the media, two suicide bombers have attacked two military bases in the southern city of Kulbiyow, Kenya.
They started the attack shooting at the military bases and later on blew themselves up. The spokesperson for al-Shabaab has claimed that they have taken control over the military base.
On the other side Kenyan military spokesman has denied the death of the officials claimed by al-Shabaab whereas the local media said that numerous army officials have been killed.
Around 50 officials have been killed in result of the attack made by the Somalian terrorist group al-Shabaab.
Al-Shabaab is Somalia’s al-Qaeda-linked organization in Kenya. Its control has been broken from the central and southern parts of Somalia.
Despite of the cleanup these regions are still vulnerable to the threat al-Shabaab.
