Kabul, Tehran Call For Joint Fight Against Regional Threats

KABUL: (MEP) Afghan National Security Adviser, Mohammad Hanif Atmar and Iranian ambassador to Kabul Mohammad-Reza Bahrami, have stressed the need for mutual efforts of both countries to fight regional threats.

During a meeting in Kabul on Thursday, the two sides discussed Tehran-Kabul economic cooperation and the conditions of Afghan immigrants living in Iran.

The Iranian ambassador said that Tehran would spare no effort to provide the Afghan immigrants with the needed living and educational facilities.

Meanwhile, the Afghan official, underlined the role Iran and other regional countries can play in the campaign against terrorism, saying Kabul is eager to receive economic help from Iran and continue with economic cooperation with the neighboring country.

He said Afghanistan hopes that Iran would provide the Afghan immigrants with the needed facilities within the framework of international conventions and bilateral agreements.
