ghani and abdullahKABUL: (MEP) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah have strongest terms condemned the terrorist attack Wednesday evening in capital Kabul.

A suicide bomber detonated his explosive in Dar-ul-aman area and targeted a vehicle of Kaboora production team killing at least seven employees of the production who were working in Farsi1 channel.

In addition, 25 others were sustained injuries.

President Ghani slammed the suicide attack in the strongest terms in the city that left a large number of innocent people killed.

“Strongly condemn the barbaric attack on our brave media staff. My condolences are with their families. This’s the act of coward terrorists,” states a post on the official twitter account of the President.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah while condemning the attack has said that attack on innocent civilians have no justification in any law, faith, belief, religion and humanity.

“I strongly condemn the coward terrorist attack targeting personnel of Kaboora Production and @TOLOnews in Kabul this evening,” CEO Abdullah has written in a post on his official twitter account.

Ghani stressed that government is obligated to destroy terrorist groups and prevent their activities in a strong determination across the country.

Former President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai has also condemned the attack and offered condolences to the families of the victims.

On the other hand, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) while condemning the attack says the organization is gravely concerned by Wednesday’s attack on media workers.

Taliban militants claimed responsibly for the attack.
