ISIL Fires Rocket at Nangarhar Mosque Leaves 10 Worshipers Dead, Injured
KABUL: (Middle East Press) As a result of rocket hit a mosque killing and injuring at least 10 worshipers in Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province, local officials said Saturday.
Governor of Achin district, Haji Qalib said that the incident took place in Pandola area on Friday afternoon leaving six worshipers dead and four others wounded.
Local officials claim that the Islamic State or Daesh militants fired the rocket at the mosque.
According to Haji Qalib, Daesh extremists have fired six rockets at the security forces checkpoints in Achin district and one of them has been hit on the mosque.
Those wounded in the incident have been admitted to hospital for treatment, the governor said.
