Iran Requests Existence In Afghan Peace Talks

His request was put forward by the country’s foreign minister during the visit of Abdullah Abdullah CEO to the neighboring country.

Abdullah also met with Iranian Vice President Ishaq Jahangiri and the country’s supreme leader Ayatullah Khamenei during the three-day visit.

Ayatullah khamenei criticizing the United States for its presence in Afghanistan, pointed to Abdullah that the country was “still disturbing Afghanistan with its troubling policies.”

He also criticized sidelining of anti-Soviet Mujahideen in the name of “war lords” as he emphasized on harmony among different religious parties and ethnic groups, adding that Iran was considering security, tranquility and development in Afghanistan as its own.

CEO’s three day state visit started from Tuesday came on official invitation from Tehran, and the two countries have signed two agreements on sports and culture and are expected to do more.
