Herat Man Kills Wife And Hanged Himself
MEP: A man in Herat province killed his wife and then hanged himself, an official said on Sunday.
Abdul Ahad Walizada, a spokesman for Herat’s police chief in an interview with the Middle East Press, said the incident happened last night at the Fourth District of Herat city.
According to him, the cause of the accident is not yet known and police investigation started in this field.
Walizada added that the bodies of victims were transferred for further investigation to the forensic.
Atiqullah Yousifi a resident in the area told the Middle East Press, “seemingly without any family controversy stabbed his wife and then hanged himself.”
He said the couple had three children.
In this regard, Aziz-Rahman Jaami, a spokesman for Herat’s central hospital also told the Middle East Press, “The bodies of the couple were transferred this morning to the Central Hospital.”
The report comes as in Herat province family violence, forced marriage and limits of traditional caused increase in family violence followed related institutions concerns.
