Hekmatyar Urges Taliban To End War
MEP: Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, leader of Hezb-e Islamic Party called on Taliban groups to form a coalition with the party in order to stop the war and opposition in the country.
Hekmatyar on Wednesday expressed condolences for the killing of “Mullah Akhtar Mansoor,” the former Taliban leader, and said “the group and the party is taking the mutual approach in line with common goals.”
He added that at this critical juncture, my advice to the Taliban is to resolve the crisis in Afghanistan bring peace, jihad and resistance to adopt a common position on the future of Afghanistan.
This comes as last week the Hezb-e-Islamic Party and the High Peace Council (HPC) signed an agreement of peace and send it to President Ashraf Ghani for approval.
