Hamas Warns On Consequences Of Israel About Preventing Azan From The Mosques Loudspeakers
MEP: Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) warned about the consequences of Israel’s decision about preventing the broadcast of Azan from the mosques loudspeakers.
According to the Anatolia news agency, Hamas issued an statement for warning Israel about this decision. They said that prohibiting Azan means stimulating feelings of the Muslims all over the world and interference in religious prayer is unacceptable. They also noted that Israel’s plan means ignoring international laws and charters that obligate everyone to support nation’s religious and historical rights.
The statement urged international community and international legal institutions to have an immediate intervention for preventing the desecration of the mosques.
The ministerial committee of legislation in the Israeli cabinet recently approved a draft law for offering to the Israeli parliament, in which broadcasting Azan from the mosques loudspeakers is considered as forbidden.
The draft was prepared after the support of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from the law. He said at the cabinet meeting that the purpose of this law is supporting calmness.
