Gunmen Set School On Fire In Jawzjan
MEP: A number of unknown gunmen torched ‘Hassan Tabeen’ School in northern Jawzjan province, local officials said Saturday.
Mohammad Reza Ghafori spokesman for the governor of Jawzjan told the Middle East Press, the incident took place last night in the second police district of Sheberghan city.
The management department and laboratories were set on fire during the incident and a number of documents, textbooks and laboratory equipment have destroyed, he said.
Ghafori added that firefighters reached the scene on time and managed to prevent the fire intensity.
No one was arrested in connection with the incident so far and investigations are underway to identify the perpetrators.
