Gunmen Kill Kandahar Head Of Labour And Social Affairs
MEP: A number of unidentified gunmen have killed the chairman of the Labor and Social Affairs of Kandahar province near his home in the town of Eyno Mina, an official said on Sunday.
Samim Khpalwak, Kandahar governor’s spokesman told the Middle East Press, the incident occurred last night when Nazar Ali Qaaneh was moving towards his home.
He said preliminary research indicates that this incident was a criminal act and further investigations also started.
According to Khpalwak, a suspect was arrested with the vehicle of Qaaneh in Kandahar’s Qalat city, capital of Zabul province this morning, however its yet to determine if the man has killed Mr Qaaneh.
Qaaneh has served as chairman of the Labor and Social Affairs of Kandahar province for five years.
No group has claimed responsibility for the incident yet.
