German representative meets Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar in Qatar
Armed Taliban have confirmed that the special representative of Germany for Afghanistan has met with political deputy of Islamic Emirate hosted by Qatar.
Zibihullah Mujahid, an armed Taliban spokesman wrote on his Twitter account that the visit was held yesterday in Doha.
It is said that special representative of Germany for Afghanistan, Mr. Potzel has met with political deputy and chief of staff of Islamic Emirate, Mullah Abdula Ghani Baradar and discussed current situation of Afghanistan, solution to the war in Afghanistan and Germany`s efforts on peace process.
“The special representative of Germany continued to assure the country’s positive role in the peace process, and insisted that it would continue its contacts with the political office of the Islamic Emirate,” added Mojahed.
Meanwhile, a few days ago, the special representative of Germany for Afghanistan met with President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, who also addressed key issues, including peace and intra-Afghan talks.
