Geography and Politics; Persian Gulf or Arabian Gulf

The US President Donald Trump, called the “Arabian Gulf” in his speech on Iran’s lead, imposing sanctions on the Revolutionary Guard and canceling the agreement.

The Persian Gulf is the water passage that runs along the Oman Sea and among the Arabian countries, the Gulf is the third largest gulf in the world, the Gulf is linked from the East through the Strait of Hormuz and the Oman Sea to the Indian Ocean and Arabs river, and from the west to the Delta of the Arvandrood River, which is the result of the link between the two rivers of the Tigris and Euphrates, and the Karoon River joining it.

The countries of Iran, Oman, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar and Bahrain are on the Persian Gulf. Meanwhile, the northern coast of the Persian Gulf is entirely in the political geography of Iran. This passage is of particular importance due to the rich resources of oil and gas in this bay and its coasts.

The historical name of this bay, in different languages, has been translated into the Persian Gulf. Also in all international organizations, the Gulf is the official name of the Persian Gulf.

However, Trump was named the Gulf as Arab Gulf on Friday that later, the White House spokesman improved it into Persian Gulf which was followed by Iran’s president reactions and the Iranian citizens to social networks.

One of the users has placed one of the American soldiers in the tombstone and the other has written the Persian Gulf medal, as well as government and non-governmental officials have responded.
