Genocide and Systematic Massacres in Ghazni

Ghazni province has long been targeting systematic insecurities and crimes, especially residents of the Qarabagh district.

The brutal murder and massacre of Hazara residents in Qarabagh district has become a serious concern and people have said that so far local and security authorities have not taken any serious action.

For this reason, people and residents of Qarabagh have said they armed themselves in order to defend the people.

“Since four years, we are witnessing the murder and assassination of the Hazara people in the Qarabagh district and Hazarajat,” said Nasir Ahmad Faqiri, chairman of the Ghazni Provincial Council, in a conversation with the Middle East Press.

According to him, a day ago, a gunman stopping a passenger car killed three passengers and injured two by firing them over a road in the district of Qarabagh.

“The gunman shot the car and the passengers till his gun was out of bullets,” said Faqiri.

The chairman of the Ghazni Provincial Council stated that the gunmen, some of them dependent on the Taliban, make such massacres whenever they want and most of the events take place on highways.

He added that officials have always promised to pursue the case, but have not done so, and have not provided an acceptable reason for the people.

People and residents of the Qarabagh district have threatened that if the situation continued so and local and security authorities did not respond, they will arm themselves and start protecting the people. “People will do so” Faqiri commented on it.

On the consequences of this process, he stated that the repetition of it, would make the people defend themselves and their regions.

On the other hand, Arif Rahmani, a MP for Ghazni, wrote on his Facebook page: “Regretfully, the Taliban criminals yesterday, martyred three innocent people and injured three others in Golkoh village of Qarabagh.

He said the incident showed that murderers and other criminal groups don’t scruple shedding the blood of Hazara people and even enjoy it.

According to Rahmani’s information, this horrific series of murder, killing, abduction and kidnapping continued for many years in Qarabagh district, while security officials in the district and local authorities did not take any steps to end these killings.

This MP of the Ghazni people believes that either all of Gazni local officials are Talibs or dependent on the Taliban, so they are not motivated to protect the lives and property of the people.

He once again called on the security authorities at the center and the local government of Ghazni to end the annoying serial marching in the district of Qarabagh and, if continued, the people will be forced to take their own arms and save their lives and property.

Local officials in Ghazni have not yet commented on this, and we have not succeeded to have their comment with much efforts.
