Gen. Dostum Returns To Kabul, Calling ISIL A Threat To Entire Region

Gen. Dostum returns in KabulKABUL: (Middle East Press) The First Vice President Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum, returned to Kabul on Monday after participating in a month-long military operation in northern parts and provinces of Afghanistan.

Dostum performed in a press conference late Monday night after his return from the north and accused Pakistan, particularly the country’s military and Inter-Service Intelligence (ISI) for being involved in the killing of innocent people of Afghanistan in the recent attacks of Kabul.

Dostum said the enemies of Afghanistan are friends of Pakistan and the friends of Afghanistan are the enemies of Pakistan.

Dostum has also called on Russia to provide Afghan security forces with military hardware including aircraft said that Russia should not be silent, the security forces need aircraft, helicopters and equipment.

In addition, he raised the issue of ISIL Takfiri terrorists (Daesh) and said the group is not only a threat to Afghanistan but a threat to the entire region.

Dostum joined the security forces on the frontline in northern Faryab province earlier this month and survived at least two assassination plots and ambushes by insurgents groups.
