French, Afghan Interior Ministers Emphasized On Key Cooperation

MEP: Ministers of Interior of Afghanistan and France have stressed on mutual cooperation between the police of the two countries, the fight against terrorism and drug trafficking.

Security General Taj Mohammad Jahed, Minister of Interior of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan attended in the first bilateral meeting of Security Mixed Commission between the Ministers of Internal Affairs of France and Afghanistan in Paris.

At the meeting the two sides agreed on joint fight against terrorism and the fight against drug trafficking and discussed bilateral cooperation.

Taj Mohammad Jahid said universal joint fight against terrorism and extremism is in fact, the struggle for freedom and justice for humanity around the world and it’s needed to cooperate in this regard in order to form comprehensive cooperation in the region and the world.

Meanwhile, French Interior Minister said that his country is ready to support and cooperate with Afghanistan in the fight against terrorism and combating drug trafficking.

It is worth mentioning that in 2012 a security agreement between Afghanistan and France was signed to a joint struggle against terrorism and on this trip Taj Mohammad Jahid Minister of Interior of the country, in Paris discussed on how to implement this Agreement.
