Four Taliban Networks Dismantled In Kandahar

MEP: The National Directorate of Security officers (NDS) have arrested members of the four armed Taliban who were involved in destructive activities in Kandahar province.

These groups are related to the Quetta Council, which includes 21 people, a statement by NDS said on Wednesday.

The statement adds that these people were planning suicide bombings, invasions, assassinations of elders and attacks on supply trains in Kandahar city.

NDS says that the detainees have said in their confessions they have learned their terrorist military trainings on an imaginary line across the Durand and so far have done several terrorist activities in the city.

The development comes as yesterday, two senior armed Taliban members by national security officers had been arrested in Baghlan province.
