Magistrate’s court in Rishon LeZion arrested Gorlovsky on charges of fraud and blackmail. Michael Gorlovsky – Knesset member in the Likud party between 2003 and 2006 – was charged with breach of trust rather than fraud, and was sentenced to two months of community service, as Voice of Israel radio reported.

In this regard, the police arrested and detained for questioning over 20 people, including a former Knesset member and senior officials from a major government owned company, accused of bribery, money laundering, and fraud, in what police are calling one of the largest corruption cases in Israel in recent years.

The allegations against current and former officials of Native Israel – National Transport Infrastructure Company LTD – revolve around a sophisticated, methodical system they set up for shifting vast amounts of public money to cronies and associates, police said.

It is worth to mention that in previous years, corruption, addiction, drug trafficking, misuse of government positions and collusion among Knesset members and other government officials is widespread.

In such a way, Voice of Israel radio has accused Netanyahu’s government and Members of Knesset during these 10 years as most corrupt.
