Foreign Ministry Summons Pakistan’s Ambassador

“Sayed Abrar Hussain ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Kabul presented at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sunday morning and has provided information regarding the abduction of Sayed Fazlullah Wahidi” the statement added.

According to the statement, Hekmat Khalil Karzai, deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed concerns over the kidnapping of former governor of Herat province to the ambassador of Pakistan.

“Wahidi is one of the key characters in the country and since he was kidnapped in a safe area of Islamabad, the Pakistani government must use all possible means to act on his release,” the statement noted.

However, Pakistan’s ambassador in Kabul also expressed concerns about this issue and wished that Mr. Wahid be released as soon as possible.

Sayed Fazlullah Wahidi has been abducted on Friday, February 12, 2016 by unknown gunmen in one of the districts in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. No group or individual claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
