Explosion Kills District Police Chief In Balkh

12032566_729161397229108_241886644_nKABUL: (Middle East Press) According to reports, a roadside bomb explosion has Police Chief of ‘Dawlat Abad’ District Hayatullah Rogh in northern Balkh province on Tuesday morning.

Farhad Moneer, the spokesman for acting governor of Balkh province told MiddleEastPress reporter that the incident took place in Qoltaq village of Dawlat Abad district.

Moneer said the incident occurred when the Police Chief of Dawlat Abad vehicle ran over a roadside bomb.

Eyewitnesses meanwhile say three guards of Mr Rogh killed and five Afghan security forces in the blast.

Investigations have been launched into the incident.

No group including Taliban militants claimed responsibility for the attack.
