KABUL: (Middle East Press) At least 30 people have been killed and over 23 injured following a traffic accident in Zabul province on Thursday.
Zabul Security Chief Jalali Khan Farahi said, “The incident took place in Qalat City of the province when a bus collided with a truck and some of the injured victims are in grave condition.”
Women and children are among the victims, Farahi said.
According to provincial government hospital, the bodies of five women and four children have been transfered to the hospital.
The bus was traveling from Kabul to Kandahar when the incident occurred.
Officials have blamed reckless driving as a reason behind the deadly accident.
