Daesh in BadakhshanMEP: Local officials in Badakhshan province say that a number of individuals affiliated with the armed Taliban who are foreign citizens, have raised Daesh (ISIS/ISIL) terrorist group three days before in Khastak valley of Jurm district.

Abdullah Naji Nazari provincial council member said the fearful action was taken place during Eid-Al-Fitr days where a number of them had raised black and white flags.

He added that “the color ‘Black’ actually represents alliance to Daesh group, but it is unclear if they have committed any crime so far”.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Faisal Begzad the provincial governor says that Daesh has already beheaded civilians and soldiers from the national army in the province.

“More foreigners are present in the province, are tend to join the extremist groups and the group’s members are already making “Islamic state” bases in parts of the province by spreading leaflets”, he added.

Badakhshan Governor noted the Afghan security forces have killed the group’s executioner ‘Sheikh Nisar’ along with the armed Taliban’s shadow district for Kuf Aab District of Badakhshan.

He says the possibility of clashes between supporters of Mullah Mansoor, and Daesh group is also available in the province.

Badakhshan police chief Sakhi Andrabi also said that about two hundred foreign citizens, mostly escapees from Tajikistan have arrived in Badakhshan nearly two weeks before that their movements are similar to Daesh terror group.

However, other sources were released that the two hundred individuals were members of armed Taliban that had entered the province two weeks ago.
