The Satisfaction Of U.S. On Pakistan’s Remarks
MEP: Washington has supported the recent positions of Pakistan’s Army Chief on Afghanistan and called the action “significant” to maintain security.
General Raheel Sharif, chief of Pakistan’s army staff together with the presence of its military forces in anti-terrorist operation in North Waziristan, said “Pakistan will never allow action to be taken against Afghanistan from its territory”.
However, state media quoted White House officials have said that the United States has marked the Pakistan’s Raheel Sharif’s remarks “very important”.
The report comes as last week, Richard Olsen, America’s special representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, traveled to Islamabad and met with the commander of the army chief and Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry officials.
A delegation of four American Senate led by John McCain also visited Islamabad and Kabul and discussed the two countries’ important issues with the high-ranking officials of both nations.
Raheel Sharif in Pakistan’s North Waziristan has stressed that Pakistan supports the territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Afghanistan and will not allow its territory to be taken action against Afghanistan.
