Clashes In Baghlan Kill Nine Taliban Rebels
KABUL: (Middle East Press) Clashes between security forces and Taliban militants have killed at least nine Taliban insurgents and seven others wounded in Dande Ghore area of Pol-e-Khomre city of Baghlan province, officials said on Thursday.
Zabiullah Shuja, the Baghlan media officer said that the incident took place on Wednesday which also resulted in killing two Afghan security force and six others wounded.
The clashes are ongoing, Shuja said, adding that no civilian casualties were reported.
However, Taliban militants have not made comment regarding the report.
Baghlan is among the relatively volatile provinces where the militant groups have recently increased insurgency activities in a number of its districts.
