Chemtal and Chahar Bulak cities in Mazar-e-Sharif cleared from anti-government oppositions

Nusratullah Jamshidi, the deputy media office of 209 Shahin Corps, told The Middle East Press following the successful security force`s clearance operation the cities of Chemtal and Chahar Bulak were cleared from Taliban and heavy casualties were imposed to Taliban.

Jamshidi added during the operation more than 50 armed Taliban were killed and wounded and 8 others arrested.

As he said 3 security forces were also injured and security posts are going to be established in areas under sever security threats.

Meanwhile, reports say convoy belonging to Abbas Ebrahimzada, the Balkh MP, was attacked by Taliban in Chemtal city.

Although Abbas Ebrahimzada `s convoy was said to be attacked, a source from Balkh province told The Middle East Press one of the follow-up vehicle of the MP was hit by Taliban mortar.

In this incident 2 bodyguards of Ebrahimzada received injuries but the MP survived the attack.

MP Ebrahimzada to supervise the operation process along with the Balkh governor has reached Chemtal city.

Taliban but last night in their statements claimed that 17 security force were killed and 14 other injured in Chemtal city.
