KABUL: (MEP) Two female police officers injured from unidentified gunman attack in Herat province, officials said on Sunday.
The two policewomen were on their way to home in the 3rd sector of the city when unknown gunmen riding on a motorcycle opened fire on them, Abdul Rawouf Ahmadi, spokesperson for the police headquarters of Herat said.
The policewomen have been shifted to Herat Regional Hospital for treatment, Ahmadi noted.
The gunmen fled the area after attacking the officers. However, investigations are launched to capture the criminals.
No group has commented about today’s attack so far.
