Ashgabat, Israel’s Second Spy Base in Central Asia”

KABUL: (Middle East Press) According to the Kyrgyz state television network, Alexander Zelichenko, (Director of Kyrgyz anti-drug campaign) said Pinhas Avivi, Director General of Foreign Relations with international organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel frequently  traveled to Turkmenistan and held meetings with leaders of the Kyrgyz opposition in Ashgabat during recent months.

He had a strong presence in the anti- Russian circles and excessive movements’ gatherings in the Central Asian countries since 2012, under various titles such as cultural and educational institutions and economic companies.

Some factions of Russian media highlighted his pivotal role in Ukraine’s unrest. Political and security experts believe Israel has exploited Turkmenistan’s policy of neutrality in the past two years and boost its diplomatic presence in Ashgabat and has changed this city to a reliable base for spy operations in the region.

Tashkent is the main Israeli spy center in Central Asia and Ashgabat is the second Mossad spy base in the region.
