Afghanistan Awaits India’s New Military Aid

MEP: India to announce it is new military assistance for Afghanistan within the next few months.

According to reports, Narendra Modi, the country’s Prime Minister is expected to determine a new list of the country’s new military aid for Afghanistan for upcoming months.

Indian media have reported on Saturday that these funds, along with four helicopters aimed at serious fight against the armed Taliban will be placed at the disposal of the Afghan security forces.

The new Indian military cooperation during a meeting of President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani with Modi will be characterized in New Delhi, the media added.

The new list of India’s military aid to Afghanistan, include heavy and light weapons from which was shared by Afghanistan with New Delhi.

The report comes as in recent days Qadam Shah Shahim, the country’s army chief of staff during his visit to India, Afghanistan, placed a list of Afghan military requirements to the Indian authorities.

Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that last week during the visit of John Kerry, Secretary of State to India, decided to hold a trilateral meeting with Afghanistan, India and US for Afghan Peace in Washington.
