Afghan Troops Clear Seven Villages From Armed Taliban In Badakhshan

MEP: Badakhshan security officials in northern Afghanistan, say that as a result of launching a special operation in the district of Yaftal, seven villages have been cleared of armed Taliban.

Joint military operations to clear insurgents in the district were started a few days ago.

The north east Police zone press office announced that the joint security operation in the areas of Yaftal district ended successfully and in the villages of Qarya Jaat, Shey Dara, Chaosh Dara, Deh Bala, Mazang, Khambil, Darzang and Joye Aab have been completely removed from the control of the armed opposition.

According to sources, personnel have been deployed to the security checkpoints in the areas of building.

Mahfozullah Akbari police spokesman of north east zone said the armed Taliban also suffered heavy losses during the operations and all centers and their most important camps were destroyed and seized by the security forces.

According to Akbari, search operations in the districts of Badakhshan province will soon begin under threat from terrorists.
