Afghan President Visits Switzerland For Economic Meeting

KABUL: (MEP) Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has left Kabul for Davos-Klosters, Switzerland to take part in the annual meeting of World Economic Meeting from 20 to 23 January.

A meeting that brings together some 2,500 top business leaders, international political leaders, selected intellectuals, and journalists to discuss the most pressing issues facing the world.

Ashraf Ghani left Kabul this morning at the head of a senior delegation to attend World Economic Forum Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, the Presidential Palace “ARG” announced this morning.

President Ghani will also hold a separate meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and U.S. Vice President Joe Biden at the sideline of the forum, Reports suggested. 

The meeting would take place at 11:00 am (local time) in Davos on Thursday.

While, further details regarding the meeting have not been released but it is likely that Afghanistan’s reconciliation process with Taliban would be center of the discussions
