Afghan Military Kills 11 Insurgents In Kunduz Operation

Afghan forcesKABUL: (MEP) The Afghan security forces conducted a nightly military operation in northern Kunduz province in which at least 11 Taliban insurgents were killed, some wounded and more than 50 others arrested.

The operation launched on Tuesday night in Chahardara district, a statement by the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said on Wednesday.

At least two key group leaders of the rebels identified as Qari Zabiullah and Qari Najibullah were also killed in the operation, the statement added.

The Taliban insurgents are yet to comment on the report.
