Afghan Intelligence Arrests Key Taliban Commander In Kunduz
KABUL: (MEP) Afghan intelligence officers have arrested a key Taliban military commander in Khan Abad district of northern Kunduz province, Interior Ministry announced Monday.
The military chief, Qari Salim, was arrested during a special night raid, a statement by the Ministry said.
The statement adds that Salim was involved in the collapse of Kunduz city last year.
No further details were given regarding the arrest.
Taliban insurgents are yet to comment on the report.
