KABUL: (Middle East Press) Afghan National Security forces have carried out a military operation in southern Helmand province killing at least 31 insurgents.
Ministry of Interior has issued a statement on Wednesday pointed that Hundreds of Afghan soldiers are participating in this operation.
The security forces have cleared most of the areas in Sangin District of Helmand province
The statement added, 31 insurgents were killed and several wounded during clashes with Afghan National Security Forces in Boostan and Shakar Shila areas of Sangin District.
According to statement, the afghan security forces have also confiscated 22 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) during the operation.
