KABUL: (MEP) Afghan Air Force have reportedly bombed a joint gathering of the militants of (ISIS) and Lashkar-e-Islam led by Mangal Bagh in Achin District of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said Tuesday.
The officials added the bombardment took place in Shadal Bazar area late Monday.
However, Haji Ghalib Mujahid, the governor of Achin District did not provide details regarding casualties of the air strike.
This comes days after 68 militants belonging to (ISIS) group were killed in air strikes in Nangarhar mainly in Achin District.
Achin is the stronghold of ISIS in eastern part of the country.
The group has been engaged in heavy clashes with security forces and pro-government militia formed by a powerful lawmaker Haji Zahir Qadir.
Dozens of the terrorists were killed last month during an operation in which the Takfiri group’s radio station in the district was destroyed, Achin governor Haji Ghalib Mujahid said.
